Description

Studio portrait of an Oblong-leaved sundew, one of three principal types of carnivorous plants (pitcher plants, venus flytrap and sundews) that can all be found in the remaining bits of Long-Leafed Pine forest along the East Coast of the US. Reduced to 5% of its original area, this beautiful forest type, along with many of its inhabitants, face serious conservation challenges.
