Texas Horned Lizard
Phrynosoma cornutum

Central Oklahoma, USA

The Texas horned lizard is a reptile of special consideration. They are listed as a threatened species on account of habitat destruction of both themselves and their most frequent prey of ants and termites. As a last resort defence, they can squirt blood from their eyes.
