Turkey tail mushrooms have been used medicinally in Asia for thousands of years to treat cancer and boost the body's immune system. In 2012 the United States Food & Drug Administration approved a clinal trial to gain more scientific data on turkey tail as an effective addition to conventional cancer treatments such as chemotherapy.
