American Crocodiles
Crocodylus acutus

Location

Rio Tárcoles Bridge, Costa Rica

Date

27/10/2017

Description

Despite being one of the most contaminated rivers in Costa Rica, these crocodiles thrive here. American Crocodiles occur from South Florida to the northern parts of South America -- many people don't know that we have native crocodiles in the Americas, but in Florida, about 2,000 of these crocs share space with American alligators!
