Glacier Terminus
(Glacier) Termine
Location
Neko Harbor, Antarctica
Date
08/12/2007
Description
All things lead towards their end, I am sure this glacier's massive edge has long since fallen into the sea returning to the great cycle from whence it came. The water that once fell as snow over the millennia was compressed into steel hard ice scraped and bumped along the terrain sculpting the land as it was heaved along under its mass until it reached this edge. Perhaps it will live briefly as an iceberg and in any case, it won't be long until it finds itself as rain or snow and perhaps ice once again some eons in the future.
