Description
This little cushion of a plant grows in the driest desert on earth, the Atacama in South America. This plant and others in the region rarely receive water in the form of rain, but instead, they absorb moisture that condenses on them in the form of fog that blows in from the Pacific Ocean! The habitat they grow in is called fog desert! It is also interesting to note that this species is related to passionfruit. Both are members of the family Passifloraceae.
