Description

Ladybirds are known to have various defence mechanisms such as chemical secretion and playing dead. These mechanisms have been proven successful as ladybirds do not have many predators. As such many other species of arthropods such as spiders and beetles amongst others have evolved to mimic ladybirds to deter predators.
