Location

Singapore

Date

Description

Although native to Eastern and Southern Africa, this lone individual is believed to be a released or an escapee from a pet farm/bird park in Singapore years ago. It has since been living at Seletar where it is popular amongst residents and visitors in the area. Grey-crowned Cranes are birds in the Gruidae family. Due to rapid habitat loss as well as poaching of the birds and their eggs, the species population has been decreasing and it is currently listed as endangered.
